*Homework: You start with a 100 (ONE grade). I will check homework approximately 10 times a nine weeks. If you have completed your homework, you will keep you ten points for that assignment. If you do not have your homework, you will lose ten points and your grade will become a 90.
Classroom Rules

2. Listen and follow directions the first time they are given.
3. Remain seated at appropriate times.
4. Have appropriate materials daily.
5. Help maintain a friendly, learning atmosphere.
Absentee Policy
When you are absent, it is your responsibility to make up assignments. Shelby County Policy states that you will be given one day for every day absent to make up work for an EXCUSED absence.
(1 day absent= 1 day to make up work. )
(Ex: Wednesday=absent, Work must be completed and ready to turn in Friday)
*A good suggestion is for you to get the phone number of someone in the class who you can call in the event you are absent to find out any assignments you missed.
*Any work that is late (not due to absence), will have 50 points taken off. The highest grade you could receive would be a 50. PLEASE make sure to turn in assignments on time!

Course Expectations
You are expected to actively participate in class discussions and activities by participating in groups, answering questions, giving examples, relating personal experiences, etc. Part of your grade will be based on participation. You are also expected to openly listen to others.

You are expected to come to class prepared with all materials EVERYDAY. No one will have permission to return to their lockers after class has begun.
